The Weather Network: It is the first channel I turn to when I am touring Alberta. I was relieved to see that is was going to be a clear day with zero chance of precipitation. Then I turned to TSN to see how the Leafs did. Well, at the least the weather was going to be nice.
The trip back to Edmonton was smooth and easy. The only moose I saw were lying at the side of the road. Those are enormous animals.
The show this evening was at the Sergeant’s Mess at C.F.B. Edmonton. Lamont Fergson and I were doing the Christmas party for 1 Field Ambulance. What was nice is that there were 200 people there. Trouble was, the set up for the room was for dancing. So we had to stand in the middle of this gigantic dance floor. It is always awkward to have the closest audience member almost 20 feet away.
It was a solid show. Lamont not only has great material, but he is very charismatic and has fantastic timing. It was a pleasure to share the stage with him.
One of the Corporals from the unit, Chris Moe, opened the show. He did a wonderful job for his first time on stage.
