Last night I was asked by Lars Callieou to do a little workshop with the amateur comedians in Edmonton at the Comic Strip in Edmonton. This is something I have no trouble volunteering my time to do.
It was just over eight and a half years ago when I got my start doing standup comedy. Searching the internet for information brought me to http://www.thatcanadianguy.com/. I emailed Glen Foster for advice. He emailed me back in minutes with a listing of all the open mic shows in Toronto. Months later when I wanted to start my own open mic, I messaged him again. In moments he sent me an article on starting your own open mic. It was over a year later I finally got to meet him at Spirits in Toronto, shake his hand and thank him. He is a great guy and an even greater comedian. Thanks Glen. (Go check out hist website please)
