Laundry Day

Is the reason a Laundromat has no wireless internet access because they assume if you can’t afford a washer and dryer at home, you won’t have a laptop? Perhaps it is just the coin laundry I found here on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton. It is clean and quiet. It has a juke box, a Simpson’s pinball machine and old rickety lawn furniture to sit on.

I don’t have a problem doing laundry. As a guy who likes to wear clean clothes, it is the price you have to pay. If your hotel has coin laundry then it is a good day when on tour. While the Varscona Hotel was really nice, it didn’t have this particular service.

As I sit on this green deck chair I can’t help but wonder two things. Is the man with the body odor & mullet really reading a romance novel? And will this chair collapse under my weight?

There is something sad about the Laundromat. Happiness is not permitted to come in the door. I am being stared at like a freak simply because I typing on this weird black box. What is really depressing: the bulletin board… Would you want a company who posts this ad to handle your garbage? Perhaps you would. If you have rubbish that needs removin' in Edmonton, give them a call.
