in Slave Lake Alberta

We arrived in Slave Lake early in the afternoon. The 3-hour drive went by quickly as the weather was clear and unlike the roads in Ontario, there was no traffic and no construction.

This trip I have been teamed up with comic Tim Kebasek. Again I have been fortunate, as he is a funny guy and easy to get along with.

We were performing in the bar located in the Sawridge Inn. It is always nice when your hotel room is less than 200ft from the comedy show. And thank God it was. What a tough show! The sound system was great. The lighting was bright. But this room is set up all wrong. The comics are standing too far from the tables, which are spread out too much. Now add about 35 drunk and ornery guys who have been on an oilrig for a couple of weeks. It was definitely the dirtiest show I have performed. Many of them came up after to thank us for such a great show. It didn’t feel like a great show to me. Now you might be thinking that they are just being polite. These guys are anything but polite.
